The Clinical Support Operations Manager builds, improves, and sustains the daily operating system for the clinical support teams at Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon (VRCCO). This role drives operational organization, leadership infrastructure, staffing coordination, and accountability routines to ensure high-volume clinical teams work seamlessly across departments.

This is a non-medical leadership role focused entirely on management infrastructure; a veterinary technician credential is not required.

Requirements


Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operating Rhythm: Own, structure, and optimize the daily floor workflows, department huddles, and handoff routines to reduce friction and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
  • Supervisor Support: Provide management infrastructure and data to Clinical Supervisors, stripping away their administrative burdens so they can focus on clinical quality and technical mentorship.
  • Leadership Development: Identify and mentor high-potential frontline staff to cultivate future leads and assistant managers.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Proven leadership managing frontline, hourly, shift-based, or service-oriented teams in high-volume environments 
  • Demonstrated experience building scheduling models, structuring daily team workflows, and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, professional documentation, accountability, and conflict resolution.
  • High emotional intelligence, exceptional organizational follow-through, and calmness under operational pressure.
  • Ability to lead through influence and earn trust with highly credentialed, technical experts.
Preferred:
  • Experience managing multi-shift or multi-department teams in a clinical, veterinary, urgent care, or medical setting.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding programs, training matrices, or staff competency systems.
