Overview

The Manager of New Business Development will create and build client relationships to obtain new projects. This position is within ASTI, a division of PEA Group, and assists in developing proposals for clients including budgets and pricing development, proposal strategy, contract negotiations and client presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Pursues and develops business relationships and opportunities for the firm and increases revenue to meet assigned targets.
  • Supports management in the development and implementation of business and marketing strategies.
  • Researches and gathers information on potential clients and projects.
  • Schedules meetings with prospective clients to uncover project opportunities.
  • Identifies and tracks business opportunities with internal accounting and/or Client Relationship Manager(CRM) systems.
  • Works with technical staff to develop proposals and scopes of work.
  • Makes commitments on behalf of the firm.
  • Develops and maintains a strong business network.
  • Establishes and maintains on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks and participating in community, professional and client organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental, Ecological, Economic Development or other related discipline or associate's degree and related experience.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5 years of business development experience in the environmental or ecological industry.
  • Documented business development and relationship building achievements.
  • Knowledge in marketing, branding and Business Development strategy.

Availability

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Requires the ability to occasionally work in the evening/night.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.  Spends the majority of time outside of the office attending events and meetings representing ASTI Environmental and PEA Group.
