Job description

A thriving and fun company based in Miami, FL is looking to hire a Director of Accounting. This professional will report to the CFO and will assist to help meet the Accounting and Finance needs of the organization. This individual will also lead and supervise an accounting team of 5 people.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct all aspects of the accounting and finance functions of the company including preparation, analysis and presentation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial results
  • Draft the annual consolidated financial statements and footnotes
  • Review key performance indicators such as budget versus actual and trend analyses
  • Prepare the annual budget for assigned areas and monthly rolling forecasts
  • Perform technical research and documentation in accordance with GAAP
  • Analyze long-range planning and strategic operational initiatives to the CFO and CEO
  • Work closely with external auditors throughout the year to coordinate efforts to support audits

Requirements:

  • Active CPA license
  • 3+ years of National CPA Firm Audit experience
  • 5+ years of corporate accounting/finance experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and manage at all levels of the organization
