BIICS, Inc is looking to fill a Manager Network Operations position. The position is located in Tallahassee, Florida and work is onsite. The staff augmentation consultants are required to be off the week of Christmas and New Year unless services are required with prior approval from division leadership
Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements standards, procedures, and processes for the security and network operations group.
  • Maintainsconsolidated statewide network operations and acts as the networkarchitect.
  • MaintainsDaytona Beach network infrastructure.
  • ProvidesMS Teams & SharePoint administration.
  • Maintainsand upgrades recommended and agreed upon patches, including spyware,malware, and anti-virus solutions.
  • Responsibleto provide consultative support for all servers, both local and remote.
  • Providessupport for the operating systems and applicable applications on serversand Windows Workstations.
  • Performsnetwork troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Providessupport for DTI routers and switches.
  • Providesbackup helpdesk support for security issues including NTFS and sharepermissions.
  • Providesfront line help desk support for Daytona campus, network printers,antivirus software, logon scripts, and any other network related functionsare operating as designed.
  • Monitorsand troubleshoots Active Directory.
  • Configuresand supports the operation of network equipment, including but not limitedto routers, switches, firewalls, VPN and Voice over IP systems.
  • Securityis to be a primary focus for all IT related duties and responsibilities.
  • Managesand supports the virtualized environment and ensures business continuity.

Requirements
Potential candidate must possess the following:
  • Takes ownership in the establishment of Information Technology strategy and its alignment with business objectives and results.
  • Responsible for network operations, data security, networking equipment and supporting secure software applications.
  • Plans and manages the support of new technologies (including wireless), network performance, and reliability.
  • Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of IT security and network operations.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to self-learn/learn tools of trade and adapt to different environments with little or no guidance.
  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate ability to successfully translate business language into technical specifications and present them to non-technical staff using terminology they can relate to and understand. Office Tools: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, working knowledge of Microsoft Teams & SharePoint. Excellent at time management, estimating level of effort, and meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Team Player - Willing and able to mentor other technical staff and share knowledge.
  • Experience managing network operations and service levels for data and voice networking equipment, advanced phone systems, and all network-processing devices.
  • Experience planning and managing the support of new technologies (including wireless), network performance, and reliability.
  • Experience coordinating the daily activities of a statewide network operation. Has knowledge of
    network architecture and advises management on best practices of keeping the network current and secure.
  • Experience developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software and communication links.
  • Experience resolving end user hardware and software network related problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Experience prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment and making sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Experience in network and PC operating systems, (DNS, Group Policies, Active Directory) and Windows desktop operating systems, ATM, frame relay, leased line design and router configuration experience.
