Job Description
Coffman Engineers is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Industrial Energygroup in our Denver office. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic team player with five to ten years of relevant engineering experience including involvement in project management, design, and engineering across energy markets (hydrogen, oil and gas, microgrids, energy storage, biofuels, CCUS, alternative energy, etc.). We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person. Our 30-person office offers a small firm work environment with large firm opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineer license (PE).
  • 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with ASME and API codes/standards applicable to refining, pipeline and industrial facilities.
  • Proven competency in preparing project drawings including piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, FEED reports, calculations, and bills of materials.
  • Proven competency in facility engineering, fluid hydraulics and piping stress analysis calculations.
  • Multi-discipline project management (preferred) or multi-discipline project task coordination (required).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - applied to tasks such as developing proposals, execution plans, technical engineering reports and client communication.
  • Ability to travel periodically.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as AFT products and pipe stress modeling software such as AutoPIPE preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications preferred.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
The expected annual salary range for the position is $95,000 - $125,000.
