Interested in a career that matters?
At Microbiome Labs, we are pioneers in gut health-bringing scientifically backed solutions to healthcare professionals to help transform patient care. As part of Novonesis, a global leader in biosolutions, we're backed by world-class research, innovation, and resources that help us translate cutting-edge microbiome science into real-world clinical impact.
Are you passionate about translating science into real-world clinical impact? Join our team as a Clinical Science Liaison (CSL) and help shape how microbiome science is understood and applied across healthcare and nutrition.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality scientific education and support across internal teams and external partners. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will contribute directly to advancing Microbiome Labs' purpose by empowering evidence-based decision-making and innovation in microbiome and nutritional science.
The Role & Your Impact
As a Clinical Science Liaison, you will execute scientific and clinical strategies while contributing insights to optimize how we engage with clinicians, partners, and customers. This is a highly collaborative role with both internal teams (sales, marketing, regulatory, product development) and external stakeholders including educational partners and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Key responsibilities include:
  • Present clinically relevant microbiome topics to live and virtual audiences
  • Evaluate and interpret scientific literature in nutrition and microbiome science
  • Analyze BiomeFX stool test results and develop personalized product-based protocols
  • Respond to clinical inquiries with strong expertise in gut microbiome science
  • Develop and deliver training on product usage, updates, and scientific insights
  • Support KOL identification, recruitment, and engagement initiatives
  • Educate and support regional sales and customer service teams
  • Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and events
  • Develop scientific content (articles, webinars, videos) for various platforms
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends in nutrition and functional medicine

What You'll Need to Be Successful
To thrive in this role, you bring a strong scientific background combined with hands-on experience in clinical or functional medicine environments.
Required qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher (MS, RD, ND, DC, PhD or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in functional or integrative medicine
  • Strong knowledge of nutritional science, biochemistry, and disease pathophysiology
  • Experience interpreting clinical data and supporting patient-related decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders

Core competencies:
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and public speaking
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and relationship-oriented mindset

Additional Skills & Interests We Value
While not required, the following will strengthen your impact in the role:
  • Experience in patient care or clinical environments
  • Background in dietary supplements, laboratory work, or active clinics
  • Familiarity with microbiome testing and interpretation
  • Experience creating educational content (e.g., webinars, digital media)
  • Proficiency with presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Canva

What We Offer
At Microbiome Labs, you will be part of a purpose-driven organization where science meets real-world impact.
We offer:
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within a global organization
  • A collaborative and supportive cross-functional environment
  • The chance to work at the forefront of microbiome and nutritional science
  • A culture that values curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning

Ways of Working / Working Conditions
  • Fully remote position with flexibility across U.S. time zones
  • Collaboration with global teams, occasionally requiring coordination with European schedules
  • Travel required approximately 20-30% for conferences, events, and stakeholder engagement

Compensation & Benefits
  • Expected base salary: $110,000 - $115,000
  • 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution
  • Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time
  • Health, Dental, Vision & Life insurance
  • Healthcare savings account option
  • Employee assistance program
