About the RoleMedtronic is seeking a dynamic, clinically savvy, experienced Clinical District Manager (CDM) to manage clinical field employees in order to achieve and exceed patient outcomes and sales plans. The CDM will recruit, hire, develop, and retain the clinical team and provides input to the District Sales Manager regarding clinical strategies and plans. The Clinical District Manager develops clinical goals and objectives for each territory on a fiscal, quarterly, and monthly basis, to help achieve and exceed sales performance goals. The role will report directly into the District Manager and will work closely with and receive guidance from the National Clinical Leader.
This is a field based position that will support our Pac Northwest District. This will include Washington and Oregon. Ideal candidates will reside near Seattle or Tacoma to be able to most effectively support the district. The expectation is to be in the field 2-3 days/week and remote the remaining time.
  • Provide field sales and clinical knowledge and direction to their Clinical Territory Managers (CTMs) and Diabetes Clinical Educators (DCEs)

  • Provide clinical updates for entire district to enhance clinical and sales understanding of current and new products

  • Responsible for the successful onboarding and follow up of patients to new and existing products within the Medtronic Diabetes product portfolio to drive patient retention and success on our therapies

  • Oversee HCP training and engagement for new and existing products within the Medtronic Diabetes product portfolio

  • Lead and help manage CTMs' clinical competencies related to the diabetes disease state and provide guidance to CTMs on improving in areas of clinical need

  • Oversee the professional development of the clinical team through continued education and by maintaining clinical practice skill level, CDE status, and CEU requirements to satisfy renewal requirements for licensure.

  • Partner with field sales District Managers to promote teamwork, effectiveness, and efficiencies

  • Maintain knowledge of insulin products and emerging technologies and their impact on our products

  • Provide guidance to CTMs regarding the management of assets, expenses, and territory budget

  • Act as key change agent and driver of all clinical change initiatives

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields:

  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

  • Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Registered Dietitian (RD)

  • Physician Assistant (PA)

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)

  • Pharmacist

AND

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of clinical experience

OR

  • Advanced Degree and 3 years of clinical experience

Nice to Have

  • Management experience (2+ years with direct reports or 3+ years as a Medtronic Diabetes CTM) and prior healthcare employee supervision

  • Strong knowledge of diabetes disease state and Medtronic product training/education

  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and change implementation skills

  • Effective relationship-building with healthcare providers

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation abilities

  • Experience planning and executing group trainings

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Understanding of professional licensure scope of practice

Field Roles: Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application. Must be able to drive approximately 100% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$110,000 - $125,000

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits informationpertainssolely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), whichprovidesthe opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
