Responsibilities
  • Successfully complete medication administration course and maintain current validation certificate. Comply with all 65G-7 regulations and Quest procedures related to medication administration. Administer prescribed medications, monitor self-administrations of medications, follow protocol for disposal of medications, maintain medication count, and communicate with pharmacy as needed
  • Treat all people with dignity and respect, ensuring all personal rights are met including communicating in a friendly and professional manner with all people, including individuals in the home, coworkers, visitors, and customers
  • Implement and document training activities for residents as specified in the annual plan to include, but not limited to self-help, daily living, social and leisure skills, and nutritional management
  • Provide positive social and leisure interaction to residents daily while encouraging personal choices
  • Follow established guidelines for residents' personal care and medical needs
  • Monitor and report any issues related to the personal care and medical needs of residents as well as any needs for wheelchairs or adaptive equipment
  • Assist residents in planning and preparing well-balanced meals and attend to special dietary needs
  • Work with the residents to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment
  • For identified residents, complete housekeeping duties as assigned. This includes but is not limited to washing dishes, changing, and making beds, laundry, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, mopping and sweeping
  • Observe health and/or safety issues, both for resident(s) or in the environment. Take appropriate action to correct or report the issues
  • Attend at least one quarterly treatment team meeting annually for no fewer than four individuals receiving On-Site services
  • Facilitate monthly on-site events for residents so that 50% of residents participate in at least one event annually
  • Assist individuals in accomplishing their personal goals making sure at least 85% of individuals receiving On-Site services achieve at least one support goal
  • Ensure all emergency procedures are followed during a drill or in an actual emergency
  • Clean and maintain common areas of the property according to established guidelines
  • Respond to internal Emergency Response System according to established guidelines
  • Report all incidents of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the Abuse Hotline (1-800-96-ABUSE)
  • Report to work during inclement weather to ensure adequate supervision and care of all individuals in the home. This may include sheltering in place during a hurricane
  • Attend and participate in training and staff meetings as requested
  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required and requested by supervisors

Qualifications
  • High school diploma and must be 18 years or older required
  • Florida Driver's License with no more than two moving violations in the past three years
  • Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship from our company now or in the future
  • Accurately administer medications
  • Read, write, and comprehend English
  • Perform physical requirements associated with transferring/positioning individuals, implementation of behavioral crisis management and lifting/carrying up to 50lbs.
  • Communicate in a professional and positive manner
  • Effectively work as part of a team
  • Remain calm in an emergency or crisis
  • Accommodate shift changes to meet client/staff ratio as required
  • Be proactive and independently problem solve in various situations
  • Always maintain confidentiality and discretion
