Job description

GMT was founded in 1986, we are dedicated to the sale and distribution of chilled, frozen food and dry goods.

  • Lead the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy for each assigned brand or category in collaboration with brand principals and internal GMT teams.
  • Identify market opportunities and risks to ensure successful product launches and sustained brand growth.
  • Determine and implement the pricing strategy for all products, ensuring alignment with GMTโ€™s required margins.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leaders to ensure competitive and strategic pricing in line with market demands.
  • Coordinate and execute approved marketing and promotional plans with the support of both the Marketing and Sales teams to maximize brand visibility and product sales.
  • Drive brand activation efforts and promotional campaigns to enhance market presence and consumer engagement.
  • Oversee the Trade Marketing Managerโ€™s work plan on a weekly basis, or as needed, to ensure it is executed in alignment with GMT goals and priorities, if applicable.
  • Prepare and present business review presentations as required (monthly, quarterly, and/or annually) for brand principals and suppliers to review performance and strategy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for brand principals, ensuring alignment on objectives, promotions, and marketing investments.
  • Develop, track, and report on sales budgets for each assigned brand, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and analyze key sales metrics to assess performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Develop, track, and report on the marketing investment budget for each brand, ensuring all expenditures are aligned with business priorities and deliver maximum ROI.
  • Produce and deliver quarterly status updates for each brand, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Report on budget usage, forecasting, and planning for future brand development initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, preferably within the distribution industry.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and sales planning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience preparing business reviews.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
