Yamaha Motor Company is looking to fill in a Pricing & Market Analyst II - Marine Parts & Accessories - for our office located in Kennesaw, GA. The position will oversee industry information and statistics for Marine Group management for the purposes of strategic planning and implementation and will research, gather and analyze competitive information and provide directional opinions to Marine Management and other groups. This position will serve as the point person for Yamaha and Marine Market information.
Develop and maintain detailed reporting on sales, margins, and performance to support pricing and profitability decisions, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and consistency. Analyze trends, evaluate programs, and independently identify actionable opportunities to improve financial performance and pricing strategies. Translate complex data into clear, structured insights and recommendations for leadership while proactively monitoring program effectiveness and flagging risks or inconsistencies.
What you'll be doing:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring reports and dashboards on sales, margins, and overall business performance, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Evaluate back-order data and trends to assess impacts on revenue, pricing effectiveness, and overall business performance, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business trends, pricing performance, and profitability drivers to identify actionable insights and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market positioning, including price comparisons and benchmarking, to assess potential impact on company performance.
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams by collaborating with business partners to understand analytical needs and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.
  • Monitor program performance, identifying variances, inconsistencies, and risks while highlighting opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with cross-functional team members to develop data-informed strategies, evaluating potential approaches and outlining measurable plans to support execution and achieve business objectives.
  • Independently manage assigned analyses and projects, delivering timely and accurate results with minimal oversight.
  • Exercises independent judgment in conducting analyses, interpreting data, and identifying trends, with limited oversight on day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Recommends data-driven insights and solutions to support pricing, profitability, and program decisions, while final decision authority remains with leadership.
  • Prioritizes and manages assigned projects and analytical workstreams, escalating risks, inconsistencies, or complex issues as needed.

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, pricing, or financial analysis
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP
  • Familiarity with competitor/market analysis and pricing benchmarks
  • Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
