Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

Richfield, WI | Full-Time | On-Site

Design Manufacturing Solutions for the Most Challenging Parts.

At Strohwig, we don't just manufacture precision componentsโ€”we engineer the processes that make them possible.

Our customers rely on us to solve difficult manufacturing challenges for aerospace, defense, energy, and other demanding industries where precision, innovation, and quality are essential.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing problems, developing innovative machining processes, and collaborating with programmers, machinists, and engineers to bring challenging parts to life.

If you're passionate about manufacturing, process optimization, CAD/CAM, and continuous improvement, this is the opportunity to make a real impact.

Why Strohwig?

For more than 40 years, Strohwig has invested in advanced manufacturing technology, engineering expertise, and talented people. Our 210,000-square-foot facility utilizes advanced CNC machining, 5-axis technology, and sophisticated engineering tools to manufacture components that many companies simply can't.

Here, you'll work on challenging projectsโ€”not repetitive production. Every day presents a new engineering problem to solve.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer, you'll:

  • Develop manufacturing processes from concept through production
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and machining strategies for complex precision components
  • Create manufacturing models using CAD, scan data, engineering drawings, and customer specifications
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost through innovative engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with CAM Programmers to develop optimal toolpaths and machining strategies
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and customers to solve manufacturing challenges
  • Lead design reviews and manufacturability evaluations
  • Develop process documentation, routings, work instructions, and bills of material
  • Evaluate new tooling, workholding, machining technologies, and manufacturing methods
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and throughput
  • Support project execution from quotation through production launch

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field or equivalent manufacturing process engineering experience
  • Five or more years of Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Strong CAD/CAM experience
  • Experience designing manufacturing processes for machined components
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with PowerMill
  • Experience with Siemens NX
  • ERP experience
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, or other high-precision manufacturing
  • Experience with ITAR and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Benefits

We believe great employees deserve great benefits.

  • Medical & Vision Insurance
  • Company-Paid Dental Insurance
  • Company-Paid Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Company-Paid Life & AD&D Insurance
  • Supplemental Insurance Plans Available
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Unpaid Excused Absences
  • Company-Paid Uniforms
  • Training & Apprenticeship Opportunities
  • Safety Shoe & Glasses Reimbursement Program
  • Gym Membership Reimbursement Program

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary: $120,000โ€“$165,000
  • Engineer complex solutionsโ€”not repetitive manufacturing processes
  • Work alongside experienced programmers, machinists, and engineers
  • Influence manufacturing strategy from concept through production
  • Collaborate on aerospace, defense, and other high-precision projects
  • Modern manufacturing facility equipped with advanced machining technology
  • Company committed to investing in new technology and employee development
  • Opportunity to make a measurable impact on manufacturing excellence
