Service Manager

Management Bairoil, WY, US

Position Summary

The Service Manager oversees maintenance, repair, and operational support for heavy equipment, diesel engines, vehicles, and industrial assets in an oil and gas environment. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance programs, equipment reliability, inventory management, contractor oversight, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe and efficient operations.

  • Manage maintenance and repair activities for heavy equipment, engines, vehicles, pumps, and industrial equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and major equipment overhauls.
  • Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Oversee parts inventory, purchasing, and material control processes.
  • Direct contractors and service providers while maintaining safety, quality, and cost standards.
  • Prepare maintenance, operational, and equipment performance reports for leadership.
  • Monitor maintenance expenses and support budget management.
  • Promote continuous improvement in equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture and lead by example.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, CDL, environmental, and company requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and incident reviews as needed.
  • Verify contractor compliance with company safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 10+ years of experience in oilfield, industrial, or heavy equipment maintenance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment.
  • Experience managing contractors, inventory, and maintenance programs.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred

  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Diesel technician certification or related technical training.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform field inspections.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs.
