Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Shipping Manager to oversee our DTC shipping operations, ensuring that our products are efficiently delivered to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping and logistics for our DTC channel, including working with third-party carriers, overseeing the fulfillment process, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to improve delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, a deep understanding of DTC operations, and a data-driven approach to optimize the shipping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Logistics Management
- Manage end-to-end shipping operations for DTC orders, including order processing, picking, packing, and delivery.
- Oversee daily shipping schedules, ensuring that all orders are shipped on time and in accordance with customer expectations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain shipping policies and procedures to streamline processes and reduce delays.
Carrier and Vendor Management
- Regularly review carrier performance and collaborate on corrective actions when necessary to maintain service quality.
- Monitor and manage carrier-related issues, such as delays, damaged packages, and incorrect deliveries.
Inventory and Fulfillment Coordination
- Collaborate with the Inventory and Fulfillment teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and optimize stock availability.
- Work with warehouse teams to improve fulfillment accuracy, packaging standards, and productivity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing) to manage inventory levels and fulfill promotional and seasonal demand.
Customer Experience and Support
- Proactively resolve shipping-related customer issues by identifying and implementing solutions that enhance the customer experience.
- Analyze customer feedback related to shipping and delivery times to implement improvements.
- Develop and manage a tracking and notification system to keep customers informed of their order status.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
- Track and report on key shipping and logistics metrics, including on-time delivery rates, shipping costs, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in shipping processes.
- Present findings and recommendations to upper management to drive continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role in a direct-to-consumer environment, preferably within eCommerce or retail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field..
  • Proficiency with logistics and shipping software (e.g., ShipStation, ShipBob, NetSuite, or similar platforms), and advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, track key performance metrics, and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and negotiate with carriers.
