Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Logistic Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating shipments from farms to distribution centers, ensuring that produce is transported and stored under the correct temperature conditions to maintain freshness. Will also be responsible for communicating with farmers, trucking companies, and retailers to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual.
  • Produce Experience preferred.
  • Truck booking experience.
  • Have a working knowledge of produce items, dispatching and logistics.
  • Ability to learn and understand transportation software systems and technologies.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
Responsibilities amp; Duties:
  • Tracking shipments, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records.
  • This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and planning processes to achieve agreed upon company goals and objectives.
  • Book trucks.
  • Negotiating for best rate and service with carriers.
  • Ensure carriers meet or exceed performance requirements including customer service, quality, and compliance.
  • Responsible for shipment from booking truck to final delivery.
  • Communicates directly with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and other departments as necessary to ensure smooth operation.
