Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance to internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function. Testing providesconfidence in delivery outcomesby validating business processes, integrations, data integrity, and operational readiness across complex, crossfunctional ecosystems. It plays a critical role in enabling safe releases, minimizing business disruption, and ensuring compliance across Pharma Supply Chain operations.

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr. Application Test Engineer to leadendtoend testing strategy and executionforProgram Motion,a multi-year strategic initiative within Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions Supply Chain business area.

This role is responsible for defining and executingintegrated testing strategiesacross multiple workstreams, including Warehouse Management (WMS/MAWM), SAP, integrations, automation systems (MHE/WCS/WES), data platforms, and other enterprise applications. The Test Lead ensures solutions are validated acrossfunctional, integration, system, performance, endtoend business process, and UAT dimensionsprior to release and cutover.

The Test Lead will work closely withProduct Owners (Ops Tech), Functional and Technical Architects, Engineering teams, Release Managers, and the Cutover Lead, ensuring testing aligns with release schedules, enterprise tool standards, and golive readiness criteria. Additionally, this role collaborates with theEnterprise Testing CoE, including Test Strategists and Test Data Management teams, and oversees engagement with astrategic partner delivering outcomesbased testing services, ensuring effective transition of automation and testing capabilities to CoE-led sustainment.

The role emphasizes adoption ofenterprise-standard testing tools and AIassisted capabilitiesto improve test coverage, efficiency, quality insights, and delivery predictability.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead theendtoend testing strategyfor Program Motion across technical, functional, integration, E2E, UAT, regression, and performance testing layers.

  • Plan and managetesting cycles across multiple workstreams, including WMS (MAWM), SAP, integrations, automation systems (MHE/WCS/WES), and data platforms.

  • Partner with theEnterprise Testing CoE (CHII)to align on testing strategy, standards, tools, and governance, including collaboration with Test Strategists.

  • Collaborate withTest Data Management teamsto design and implement scalable test data solutions leveraging theTest Data Foundry.

  • Ensure adoption and effective use ofenterprise testing tools, including Jira (test management), Katalon and Worksoft Certify (automation), Postman (integration/API), and JMeter/BlazeMeter/LoadRunner (performance), withConfluence as the central repositoryfor test artifacts and reporting.

  • Work closely with thestrategic testing partnerto deliver outcomesbased test automation and execution, ensuring alignment to quality goals, coverage, and timelines.

  • Lead thetransition of automation frameworks, test assets, and execution ownershipfrom the strategic partner to the Testing CoE and internal teams for ongoing sustainment.

  • Partner with warehouse automation and integration vendors (MHE/WCS/WES providers and system integrators)to plan and execute testing of automation components, validate system integrations, and ensure endtoend warehouse workflow reliability.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Functional Architects to ensure test scenarios reflect realworld supply chain workflows, including warehouse inbound, inventory, outbound, and DSCSA processes.

  • Align withRelease Manager(s) and the Cutover Leadto ensure testing supports release readiness, mock cutovers, critical workflow validation, and Go/NoGo decisions.

  • Ensuretraceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and execution results, and lead defect triage and resolution processes.

  • Partner withITSO Directors and operations teamsto validate production readiness, monitoring, and postgolive quality expectations.

  • LeverageAIassisted testing capabilitiesto improve test design, data generation, defect prediction, impact analysis, and reporting insights, while continuously improving testing processes, automation coverage, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

  • 8-10 years of experience in testing or quality engineering, including leadership in large transformation programs preferred.

  • Strong experience inendtoend and integration testingacross complex enterprise systems.

  • Experience withWMS (Manhattan Active/WMOS preferred), SAP, integrations, and warehouse automation systems (MHE/WCS/WES).

  • Experience working withenterprise testing CoE models and offshore delivery teams.

  • Proven experience managingvendor/partner-led testing engagements, including outcomesbased delivery.

  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with tools such asJira, Katalon, Worksoft Certify, Postman, JMeter, BlazeMeter, LoadRunner, andConfluence-based reporting.

  • Understanding oftest data management and enterprise data platforms.

  • Familiarity withAI-enabled testing approachesis preferred.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
