How you will make an impact:
In this role you will impact operational excellence by creating a culture of continuous learning and skill development within our manufacturing operations. You will enhance workforce capability, improve production quality, and ensure a safer work environment for all employees. By empowering our internal experts and local trainers with best-in-class programs, you will standardize best practices across our operations. This framework will increase efficiency, reduce onboarding time, and foster a more engaged and capable workforce. Ultimately, this role is critical to driving productivity and supporting the long-term growth of the business.
  • Facilitate content development with technical experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of all training materials.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository of training resources, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and job aids.
  • Conduct regular coaching and observation sessions with local trainers to provide constructive feedback and ensure delivery standards.
  • Manage the logistics and communication for all training initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Create and manage structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs and qualification checklists.
  • Serve as the primary learning and development consultant for the manufacturing operations leadership team.
  • Evaluate and recommend new training technologies and methodologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Track and report on training program completion, effectiveness, and business impact to key stakeholders.
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Required:
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in a manufacturing training or learning & development role.
  • Experience managing or contributing to "on the job" programs.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience designing technical curriculum by partnering directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Must be a US citizen with ability to demonstrate suitability for a position of public trust consistent with our US Government contract.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Professional training certification (e.g., CPTD, ATD Master Trainer).
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing training or learning & development role.
  • Experience in a multi-site or global manufacturing organization.
  • Familiarity with content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate).
