What We're Looking For

Cross River is seeking an experienced L&D Consultant (Associate, Learning & Development - Temporary) to partner with our Talent Management team to help build, launch, and elevate Talent initiatives and programs (e.g., professional development workshops, AI upskilling, a global recognition program). The position reports directly into our Head of Talent Management. We are looking for candidates who can build relationships quickly, drive for results, are resourceful, strong problem solvers, and passionate about Learning and Talent development. Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement learning and development programs and initiatives to support all stages of the employee life cycle, helping to nurture a culture of continuous learning
  • Partner closely with SMEs to design appropriate solutions, socialize proposals to ensure alignment, iterating based on feedback along the way
  • Use instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create engaging and effective learner centered-training materials, including e-learning, simulations, videos, job aids, learning aids, and other multimedia content
  • Evaluate effectiveness of deployed learning strategies including content, delivery methods and learner outcomes, to improve the learning experience
  • Design and facilitate workshops, programs, teambuilders, and discussions for employees and people managers
  • Manage related leadership and employee development learning activities/events end-to-end
  • Align development programs to organizational values and business priorities
  • Partner to deliver on special projects and on-demand assignments with significant organizational visibility
  • Effectively vet, partner and evaluate 3rd party learning and development vendors
  • Stay up to date and serve as an internal expert on latest industry trends in AI, technical learning, new technologies, adult learning principles, and vendors in the marketplace

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in associated field to experience
  • 7+ years of Learning & Development and/or Instructional Design experience with demonstrated ownership of enterprise-wide programs and strategic initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge/skills/certifications of adult learning principles, accelerative learning, blended learning, workplace learning, organizational learning, social learning
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering programs for leaders and employees at all levels
  • Passion for and fluency in AI applications for learning and upskilling employees
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) as well as Canva
  • Strong visual design skills
  • Certification in DiSC personality assessment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of banking/finance industry regulatory compliance and standards (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and advance technologies (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Articulate Storyline or Rise (preferred)
