The Training and Development Specialist

Job Summary

The Training and Development Specialist works as part of the Learning and Development team to create, deliver and implement curricula to meet the company's training needs. In addition, this position is chiefly responsible for ensuring newly hired employees experience a timely and effective transition from the learning environment to the live environment.

Essential Duties:

? Help create, develop, and facilitate ChartSpan training as needed by the business.

? Assist with all aspects of training to ensure a comprehensive offering of robust

training resources (classes, online learning tools, self-study materials, etc.) and

practical training sessions are available.

? Establish and maintain individual employee training and development records for

all ChartSpan training via our learning management system.

? Partner with leaders to analyze the performance of their workforce so that additional

training can be prescribed, developed, delivered, or otherwise made available to

their employees.

? Conduct specific training needs assessments, as needed, to support the design,

development, and delivery of improvements to the corporate training program.

? Other duties as assigned

? Work independently to complete the above and any assigned tasks

? Update training at least bi-annually

? Update all Up-training, in-person training, and self-paced training

? Updating training at least every 6 months

? The soft goal is 3 months


Requirements:

Skills and Abilities Required:

? Able to work in a fast-paced environment and positively embrace change using

emotional intelligence skills.

? Strong knowledge of Learning Management and Content Creation systems

? Report concerns from and suggestions from the leadership team.

? Create documentation and forms to monitor new hire concerns to report to the manager.

? Complete training prep and training schedules on time.

? Complete further hire communications promptly.

? Work in the managerโ€™s place as needed for breaks or days off.

? Run training classes independently.

? Other duties as assigned for training.

? Knowledge of instructional design and Adult Learning Theory

? Proven ability to complete an entire training cycle

? Experience effectively facilitating training for leadership and non-managerial

audiences.




Physical Requirements:

? Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.

Work Environment

? This job operates remotely.

? This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Required Education and Experience:

? Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, adult education, instructional

design, or closely related field of relevant experience or licensure.

? 1-2 years of demonstrated training facilitation, content design, and instructional

design experience in a corporate environment.
