Municipal/Meyer Mfg Program Manager

Scope of Position:
Monroe Truck Equipment is looking for an experienced Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer or Value Stream Manager to join our team leading our IE/ME team and small plow production process. In this role, you will work with Manufacturing and Upfit production to set and achieve meaningful project goals for your team and directly manage the associated project schedules. You will also be directly responsible for our Meyer production value stream and take the lead on assisting with production schedules, monitoring inventory, packaging, and logistics involved with the product line.
Responsibilities
  • Promote deployment of lean tools that will drive the continuous improvement of culture.
  • Lead cross-functional teams throughout the organization to assess and improve process performance objectively and continually.
  • Support a manufacturing environment that is a safe, clean, and efficient work environment throughout the development of a robust 5S program.
  • Design and document manufacturing processes.
  • Create cell layouts using AutoCAD/Inventor optimizing ergonomics/safety, quality, and efficiency utilizing Lean principles.
  • Create and maintain written, visual work instructions and specifications per quality standards to optimize process performance.
  • Quote operator content, safety, and ergonomics needed for new or existing products.

Qualification
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the implementation of lean manufacturing tools.
  • Demonstrated effective project management skills.
  • Must be goal-oriented, data-driven, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Working knowledge of robotic weld programming
  • Proficient in weld fixture design; work holding and tooling design.
  • Ability to read and interpret weld prints.
  • Proficient in utilizing ERP systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of MIG (GMAW) welding standards and procedures; various metal fabrication processes • Knowledge of MS operating systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), including MS Office and MS Projects; AutoCAD; and Inventor.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD and CAM technology is a strong positive (ACAD/Inventor). • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
