Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize production and procurement plans based on sales forecasts

  • Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring inventory accuracy

  • Oversee warehouse operations (coordination with outsourced vendors, inventory counts, variance resolution, and 5S audits)

  • Plan and execute initiatives to reduce obsolete inventory and defective products

  • Improve end-to-end SCM processes (procurement, manufacturing, storage, distribution, sales, and after-sales support)

  • Plan and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on current-state analysis

  • Perform project management activities, including resource allocation and progress control

  • Handle trade operations related to overseas procurement

  • Proactively introduce and utilize new technologies (AI, automation tools, etc.)

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications Required
  • Business level Japanese/English Bilingual
  • Hands-on experience in production control or supply chain management (SCM)

  • Practical experience in inventory management (experience managing a wide variety of SKUs preferred)

  • Experience in reducing obsolete inventory and defective products

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse management

  • Proficiency in basic PC skills such as Excel (comfortable with data analysis and management)

  • Experience planning and driving continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ability to understand the entire supply chain and work cross-functionally

  • Project management experience

Preferred
  • Knowledge of trade operations related to overseas procurement

  • Experience implementing and utilizing AI or automation tools
