Job description

Island Health is seeking a full-time board-eligible/board-certified General Cardiologist to join their expanding practice at Island Health in Anacortes, Washington.

Cardiology services have been in the Anacortes community for over twenty years; this is a unique opportunity to be part of establishing a new cardiology practice at Island Health. This is an ideal opportunity for a provider with a passion for serving rural communities to join a passionate and patient-centered medical staff working to improve the health and wellness for the entire community of Anacortes.

Duties may include but are not limited to supervision and interpretation of ECHO's, stress testing, and heart rhythm monitors along with supervision of devices, ambulatory APP, clinic appointments and follow-up cardiology appointments. Position Details:

  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE with 4 day work week
  • Monday to Friday primarily outpatient care schedule with limited inpatient consultation
  • Cardiac diagnostics includes stress testing, rhythm management, nuclear diagnostics, device management
  • General Cardiology hospital call coverage required (1:4)
  • Collaborative, collegial group with growth opportunities
  • Work closely with cohesive, multi-specialty group providers with support staff
  • Integrated Meditech Expanse EMR platform, utilized throughout the organization

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation is between $553,414 and $676,394 per year
  • Competitive base salary guarantee and productivity incentives the first year of employment combined with comprehensive CME & Professional Society allowance; malpractice coverage, Washington State Medical License, DEA and Medical Staff dues are paid by practice
  • Sign on bonus of $30,000
  • Relocation assistance

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be able to interpret Echocardiograms
  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Echocardiography is required
  • Active Washington State Medical License or the ability to obtain one
