The International Marketing Specialist supports the execution of marketing initiatives across Planet Fitness’ international markets, acting as a key partner to franchisee marketing teams and internal cross-functional stakeholders. This role supports the development, coordination, review, and execution of marketing campaigns, creative assets, media plans, and reporting across multiple international regions including Canada, Spain, Mexico, Australia, DR, Panama, and additional emerging markets.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, bilingual marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The Marketing Specialist will serve as an extension of franchise marketing teams, helping ensure brand consistency, timely execution, and strong communication across markets.

This role follows a hybrid schedule and requires regular, in-person work at our Hampton, NH or future Boston, MA office. Our hybrid model is M/T/W in office and TH/F are optional work-from-home. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of one of these locations. Fully remote work is not available for this role.


International Marketing Support & Franchisee Partnership

  • Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of international marketing campaigns across multiple markets simultaneously
  • Acts as an extension of franchisee marketing teams, helping support ongoing marketing requests, campaign execution, and communication across markets
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with internal creative, technology, media, and operations teams to support international marketing initiatives.

Creative Review & Localization

  • Reviews and proofreads creative assets including digital, social, video, audio, web, and promotional materials to ensure brand consistency and localization accuracy.
  • Provides Spanish translation review and grammar support to ensure messaging is culturally relevant and aligned with brand standards
  • Coordinates with creative agencies and internal stakeholders to support timely development and delivery of marketing assets.
  • Supports quality control across all international creative and social content before launch.
  • Supports international website and app update requests through the CMS platform in partnership with internal technology teams
  • Helps ensure marketing materials align with both global brand standards and local market needs.

Campaign Coordination & Project Management

  • Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of international marketing campaigns across multiple markets simultaneously.
  • Develops and maintains campaign timelines, marketing calendars, and project trackers to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinates campaign assets, approvals, and deliverables between franchisees, agencies, and internal teams
  • Supports presale, grand opening, promotional, and ongoing campaign initiatives across international markets.
  • Assists with tracking marketing activities and promotional initiatives across franchise regions.

Reporting & Marketing Operations

  • Supports the Sr. International Marketing Manager in compiling, maintaining, and distributing marketing performance reports across markets.
  • Assists with tracking campaign results and market-level performance metrics to support business reviews and decision-making.
  • Maintains marketing documentation, reporting files, and operational trackers to support the international marketing function.
  • Supports invoice tracking and payment processing related to international advertising and marketing fund initiatives.
  • Assists with research and data gathering to support new market opportunities and ongoing business needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, account management, or agency environments
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, required
  • Agency experience preferred, particularly in fast-paced environments supporting multiple projects or clients simultaneously
  • Experience supporting franchise, retail, hospitality, fitness, or multi-location brands preferred
  • Strong proofreading, grammar, and localization review skills
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables across cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CMS platforms, and Sprout Social or similar tools preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, efficient, and organized with an ability to establish priorities and objectives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environments

The hourly rate for MA-based and NH-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below. This is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with a candidate’s professional experience, qualifications and internal equity.

Base Hourly Rate Range: $31.00-$36.00/hour (equivalent to an Annual Base Salary range of $65,000-$75,000)
