Job description

PRODUCT MANAGER, IT.TE.DI. Product Line
Ingersoll Cutting Tools is one of the world's leading suppliers of metal cutting tooling systems and an integral member of the IMC Group of Companies, a distinguished corporate holding of Berkshire Hathaway, with over 130 subsidiaries in 60 countries around the world. Ingersoll's US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Product Manager.
The Product Manager supports our sister company, IT.TE.DI., which includes the polycrystalline diamond product lines. They will grow their expertise in the PCD segment of the industry within this position.
Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Working with Senior Product Managers in quoting new products and repairs; answering technical questions, and processing orders
  • Utilizing knowledge of tooling and tool design to assist in new product development
  • Travelling domestically and internationally up to 10% to support the sales team, visiting IT.TE.DI. headquarters, and for other events
  • Technical writing of New Product Announcements and converting files
  • Will learn our electronic catalog, identify problem areas and assist Product Managers in finding and implementing solutions
  • Attending seminars, trade shows, and other industry events
  • Working with customers to provide technical support and assistance
  • Collaborating with design and proposal engineering to assist with projects and new product development

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Some experience with OR a high level of interest within the cutting tool industry and/or CNC machining
  • Some experience or education in tool design preferred
  • Familiarity with polycrystalline diamond tools and/or CBN chip removal tools preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bachelor's degree or previous experience, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing technology discipline preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% the first year, then up to 40% after 1-3 years.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with customers, employees, and business partners

This is a full-time position that may require intermittent overtime based on workflow demands (including potential for long shifts and/or weekend work).
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
The salary range for this position is $70-85K.
