Job description

A Pharmacy Manager position is available in Oneonta, NY, offering both interim and permanent opportunities. This role requires a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership skills to oversee the entire pharmacy operation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as a supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage pharmacy operations including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
  • Lead pharmacy support personnel, including performance management and training.
  • Ensure all pharmacy staff complete required company training.
  • Participate in business development activities within the store and community.
  • Provide patient-centered services such as immunizations, MTM, and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on drug usage, interactions, and therapy optimization.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to safeguard patient safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment following company standards.
  • Complete continuing education as required by law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Valid New York State Pharmacist License
  • Immunization Certification with comfort in administering all vaccines (required)
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager (preferred)
