MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION:
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant's goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals. To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn't work alone. He or she leads a team of Department Managers that has specific responsibilities in the restaurant. The General Manager is responsible for developing Department and Shift Managers to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future. General Managers lead by the organizations' values of excellence, serve, inclusion, integrity, community, and family.
The person in this position will have the following major responsibilities:
  • Create and build a restaurant business plan that focuses on Quality, Service, and Cleanliness
  • Establish a good relationship with the community
  • Oversee proper execution of promotions to maximize sales building potential
  • Follow-up on the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant weekly
  • Monitor and report progress on department goals and objectives
  • Achieves results through teamwork
  • Prepare for and participate in weekly manager's meeting
  • Verify that food safety daily/monthly checklists are completed
  • Ensure all managers are ServSafe certified, and all staff are fully trained
  • Write and conduct performance reviews for assigned managers and crew
  • Participate in and support company initiatives
  • Ensure Labor Laws, Health Department Regulations, and OSHA requirements are being followed
  • Maintain and retain a crew and manager staffing level appropriate for the restaurant's sales level
  • Create and verify the accuracy of the schedule to optimize sales and profitability
  • Verify accuracy of weekly and monthly food inventory
  • Investigate safety incidents and make corrections

Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • 2 or more years as Shift Manager, Department Manager, or Assistant Manager for McDonalds
  • HU Graduate
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Communicates clearly and empathetically with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborates well with all job levels, individuals, and situations.
  • Honest and Trustworthy
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Open Availability
  • Bi-lingual preferred
