Job description

Salary:

This position is responsible for providing accounting support to a large client base, including but not limited to the production of financial reports, categorizing expenses, general ledger, payroll, sales and business taxes, and account reconciliations. *Please note this an in-person job*

Essential Duties:

  • Perform general to complex accounting work, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable and payable, year-end adjustments/closing work processes
  • Investigate and correct general ledger balance discrepancies, including comprehensive clean-up work
  • Assist in preparing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist with conversions of client books to Quickbooks
  • Process payroll and payroll tax returns
  • Process monthly sales tax returns
  • Process business tax returns, annual reports, and personal property tax reports

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Associates degree preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a CPA firm environment or client accounting services environment
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Self-motivated and able to handle a fast-paced work environment independently or with a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work extended hours during peak season including working weekends as needed
