Job Description

Outside Sales Representative - Canada

Continental Floral Greens | Outside Sales | Remote (Miami) | Travel Required

About the Role

Continental Floral Greens is hiring a Remote Outside Sales Representative to lead growth across the Canadian market. In this role, you will build and manage a portfolio of mass market and retail floral accounts throughout Canada, representing one of the most trusted names in the North American fresh-cut floral supply industry.

This is a fully remote, field-based sales role with travel throughout Canada and the US. You will have direct access to leadership, real autonomy over your territory, and the opportunity to develop the Canadian market from the ground up. If you have an established floral or perishable goods customer base in Canada and a track record of closing new business, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Build and manage a portfolio of mass market and retail floral accounts across Canada through regular in-person visits, virtual check-ins, and product line reviews.
  • Prospect and close new business in the Canadian market through cold calling, networking, and attendance at Canadian trade shows and industry events.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals including pricing, credit terms, and delivery commitments tailored to each Canadian customer.
  • Secure and place orders with careful attention to cross-border delivery timelines and inventory availability.
  • Continuously introduce new cut flower categories and SKUs to expand each customer's product assortment.
  • Develop and maintain awareness of Canadian market trends, competitor activity, and regional customer needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activity, orders, lost business, and any customer or vendor issues.
  • Collaborate with the U.S.-based sales team and operations to coordinate fulfillment and address cross-border logistics.
  • Represent CFG values and mission in every customer interaction.
What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in cut flowers, floral greens, agriculture, or other perishable goods.
  • Experience selling to Canadian mass market or retail floral buyers, or demonstrated ability to develop a new market territory.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Located in Canada with the ability to travel significantly throughout the country (50%+).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English; French language skills are an asset for Quebec-based accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred

  • Active mass market floral customer base in Canada.
  • Experience with cross-border U.S./Canada supply chain, customs, or perishable goods logistics.
  • Background in agriculture, horticulture, manufacturing, or perishable goods distribution.
  • Familiarity with Canadian retail grocery or mass market floral buying programs.
Why Continental Floral Greens
  • Fully remote role - work from anywhere.
  • Competitive base salary plus commission structure with uncapped earning potential.
  • Autonomy to build and shape the Canadian territory with the backing of an established North American brand.
  • Work with a collaborative, experienced team that values initiative and results.
  • Be part of a company with deep roots in the floral industry and a growing international presence.
