You help implement the operational excellence program in a specific function and/or for cross-functional continuous improvement (CI) projects. You are not only responsible for applying CI tools and techniques for problem solving and performance improvement but more importantly, you help employees improve their CI skills and build their self-sufficiency.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Provide training on CI tools and techniques to help drive teams through CI cycles. You will also coach employees to help them achieve their targets
  • Identify process improvement needs with department leads, facilitate sessions and support execution of newly established improvements
  • Once improvements are done, validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processes
  • Benchmark externally, ensuring where relevant that best practice and new tools are deployed in collaboration with internal partners

More about this role

Principal Accountabilities:

  • IL6S program leader at site level, responsible to develop a holistic IL6S Master Plan for the site integrated with all pillars to deliver and sustain expected business results. Ensures quality of execution as per Best In Class Standards (defined by Mondelez) and sustainability of results through installing solid pillar processes in place (as per global guidebooks)
  • Coach and support Pillar owners and Pillar committees ensuring clear understanding of IL6S tools, methodologies and processes to effectively develop and execute plans to eliminate losses and deliver the CBN
  • Drive behavioral change across the site to build CI (Continuous Improvement) /L6S (Lean Six Sigma) culture including support functions, through coaching and influencing employees.
  • Set the performance management system and governance process (EX - DMS, 90 day plan review, pillar assessments, health checks).that supports execution of the IL6S masterplan. Develops gap plans and removes roadblocks to enable successful delivery.
  • Coach and develop Focused Improvement team as agents of change to lead and drive the implementation of IL6S at the line and department level to ensure timely project execution and implementation of pragmatic, sustainable and accepted solutions. Support identification, scoping and chartering of new projects.
  • Create and ensure reliability of performance measurement systems of SQCDSM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, Morale)
  • In alignment with HR and the Plant Leadership Team, actively participates in the definition of the organizational strategy that enables the deployment of IL6S at all levels of the organization: structure (AM groups, tactical Kaizen teams, strategic project teams), recognition systems, roles and responsibilities, union involvement strategy, etc.
  • Links with IL6S regional and global resources to benchmark, re-apply and share best practices.
  • Leads a minimum of 1 pillar for the site

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial), Operations Management or related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of four years experience in Operational Excellence deploying lean, six sigma , HPO, and/or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) strategies.
  • Desirable certifications - L6S Black Belt, TPM instructor
  • Previous leadership experience highly preferred
Salary and Benefits:The expected base salary range for this position is $112,900 to $141,150 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 14% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. Mondelez also offers several generous employee benefits (some subsidized or fully paid for by the company), including health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, and enhanced vacation and holiday entitlements.
