Job Summary

Help us get the beverages Colorado celebrates with to every customer. High Country Beverage, a family-owned distributor, keeps Northern Colorado supplied with the beer, beverage, and non-alcoholic brands retail accounts depend on. We're hiring a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead the order selection team at our Johnstown facility.

This is a leadership role that runs from the floor, not a desk. Nights are where the next day gets built - every route that leaves our Johnstown warehouse in the morning is picked, staged, and loaded on your shift, and you run it. No sales calls, no supplier visits, no walk-in traffic. Just your crew, the pick, and the clock. You set the pace, watch accuracy and cases per hour, keep equipment ready, and hand the building over ready for the morning.

The schedule is steady: Sunday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday off, with your days free for family, school, or whatever you're building outside of work.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Shift: Run the shift-start huddle and lead the night Order Selector team through picking, staging, and nightly production goals.
  • Running Your Own Building: Nights run with fewer people in the building and no one looking over your shoulder. You make the real-time staffing and production calls on your shift within defined limits. You own the floor.
  • Training: Train new selectors on safe equipment operation, accurate picking with our ring-scanner system, and clean pallet stacking.
  • Hands-On Support: Jump on an electric pallet jack or forklift when the floor needs hands-on support to hit dispatch deadlines.
  • The Morning Handoff: Finish the night with the warehouse organized, pallets staged in the right outbound lanes, work areas clean, and a clear note on anything the day shift needs to know.
  • Equipment Readiness: Flag equipment issues to operations management before they cost the next shift time.
  • Safety and Standards: Hold the floor to safety standards and address concerns the same day.
  • People Management: Partner with the Warehouse Manager and HR on hiring, shift staffing decisions, coaching, and corrective action for your team.
  • Hitting the Numbers: Own the shift's cases-per-hour (CPH), on-time staging, and order accuracy targets.

Rewards

  • Pay: $62,000 - $72,000 per year
  • Bi-weekly pay, plus on-demand pay available through Paylocity.
  • Up to 20 days of paid time off in your first year.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) with company match.
  • Free in-house forklift and pallet jack certification, completed on the clock.
  • Employee beverage discount and promotion from within (most of our warehouse leads and managers started on the floor).

To Apply

Apply through Indeed or walk into our Johnstown facility during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) to fill out an application.

Every application gets reviewed. If we think you would be a good fit, we will reach out to schedule an interview. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a warehouse lead, shift supervisor, military team lead, or equivalent operational leadership experience; DSD or beverage distribution experience a plus.
  • Able to work a consistent overnight schedule and maintain regular attendance.
  • Comfortable operating an electric pallet jack and forklift (certification provided if needed).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for a full shift; lift 30-pound cases repetitively; and occasionally handle kegs weighing up to 160 pounds.
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully completing applicable background screenings, a post-offer physical examination, and drug screening consistent with company policy and applicable law.
