Located in the beautiful mountain town of Boone, NC, Animal Emergency Clinic of the High Country is seeking a compassionate, dedicated part-time or full-time experienced overnight Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. If you're looking for an opportunity to provide exceptional care while facing diverse and challenging cases, this is the role for you!

Our ER is a fast-paced, high-impact environment where no two days are the same. We handle a wide range of emergencies, from trauma to complex medical cases, which means no shortage of excitement and satisfaction. Led by a team of five highly skilled doctors, we've fostered a tight-knit, supportive, and highly efficient work culture. Whether you're managing a critical case in-house or collaborating with top-tier specialists, you'll be part of a team that truly values quality care.

Our State-of-the-Art Facility Offers:

  • Full in-house IDEXX lab equipment, including a surgical ventilator, cautery, video endoscopy, and digital radiography
  • Referral-quality ultrasound and an in-house blood bank
  • Easy access to an ultrasound/echocardiography specialist and bi-monthly visits from a trusted ophthalmologist
  • Cutting-edge tools to help you provide the highest standard of care to our patients

We're in the process of being credentialed as a Level II Triage Center by the Emergency & Critical Care Society, further solidifying our commitment to excellence. We're proud to be an integral part of the Boone community, partnering with local rescue groups, including the Watauga County Humane Society.
