Job Summary:
Pyramid Consulting, Inc is seeking a talented Service Reliability Engineer with experience in the IT Industry. The role involves troubleshooting across various layers of distributed services and managing performance metrics for large infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or in place of 4-year degree, an equivalent industry internship or industry software engineering experience
• Deep understanding of Linux and network stack
• Full-stack troubleshooting skills across network, application, hardware, management fabric, and distributed services layers
• Familiarity with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, GoLang
• Good understanding of performance metrics collection and trend-based monitoring for large infrastructure (Prometheus etc. is a plus)
• Performance engineering (Measuring latency, performance and efficiency of distributed and non-distributed environments)
• Experience in operating large-scale distributed platforms
• Experience on public and/or private cloud resource provisioning and management through automation (Eg: ansible/terraform/puppet etc.)
