Job description

Distribution Center Team Lead

Reporting to a Distribution Center Supervisor, the Distribution Center Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of hourly associates and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. This includes supervising and training a team of warehouse workers and coordinating with other departments to ensure that all operations are conducted within the accepted KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership. Responsible for leading the team and communicating with other members of leadership. Acting back-up when other members of leadership are absent.
  • Responsibilities. Depending on the assigned department, the Team Lead could be responsible for duties including, but not limited to, inbound receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, outbound loading, inventory control, returns and other areas of operation within the Distribution Center.
  • System Knowledge. Serves as area “subject matter expert” within the Blue Yonder warehouse management system and the Garnett ERP.
  • Inventory Integrity. Depending on functional area, the Team Lead is expected to always ensure inventory integrity. This includes proper receipts, inventory movements and adjustments, accurate picking and cycle counting.
  • Troubleshooting. Plays a significant role in error detection and process improvement in relation to operational SOP’s.
  • Process Improvement. Identifies and communicates opportunities for process improvement and fosters an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Teamwork. Coordinates with other functional areas in a collaborative manner that supports CFS Brands Core Values.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Excellent attendance history.
  • Requires mathematical skills to perform basic functions and calculations.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Very organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and professional.
  • Team player with positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Blue Yonder WMS, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies a plus.

Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
