Job description

ProSource360 Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking Instructional Systems Designers (ISD) to support the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) within the Academic Development Branch (EDED) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This on-site position supports course design, development, validation, and evaluation for both in-resident and online training programs. The ISD role plays a key part in supporting graphics, multimedia, and video production efforts across USAFSAM education initiatives. This role is on site and would be on base M-F from 7:30am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities
  • Provide educational expertise in the creation of multimedia, graphics, and media projects in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project managers, and production teams
  • Recommend instructional platforms, media formats, development tools, and delivery methods tailored to training objectives
  • Develop and test online courseware, analyze performance data, and provide comprehensive recommendations for improvement
  • Create training plans and guide the validation phase of the ISD process to ensure objectives and proficiency levels are met
  • Edit written curriculum content and ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, formatting, and syntax
  • Participate in educationally related initiatives, such as e-learning development and continuity planning
  • Apply all components of the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) instructional design model
  • Design instructional materials including copy, instructional and audio/video scripts
  • Utilize various government-provided software tools as needed
  • Attend required project and team meetings
  • Analyze student feedback from course evaluations and field surveys, and provide actionable improvement recommendations
  • Lead project intake activities: coordinating scope, storyboard projects, schedule content reviews, and manage approvals
  • Provide educational consultation throughout all stages of multimedia development to ensure instructional soundness
  • Support other duties as assigned by the Technical Advisor or Course Director
  • Attend and participate in all required training and meetings

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in educational technology, Instructional Design, or related field; or 5 years of applied experience in ISD techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas:
  1. Learning theory or educational psychology
  2. Instructional design principles and methods
  3. Educational assessment and testing design
  4. Instructional product development
  • Proficiency with modern educational technologies, such as:
  • Adobe Captivate
  • SCORM-compliant content development
  • Gaming, 3D modeling, simulation, and virtual reality tools
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and effective interpersonal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and adhere to Non-Disclosure Agreement requirements
  • Ability to work on site in Dayton, Ohio.
