Job description

Overview

In coordination with the Senior Director of Graduate Advisement, the Graduate Assistant will support the advisement team in developing a reporting infrastructure, to include creating and managing large datasets of information, analyzing critical data, and delivering reliable on time reports. This task involves communication and teamwork with cross-functional teams such as Chairs, the Office of Clinical Practice, and any other relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the build out of data and reporting infrastructure using Tableau and other data resources for reporting/forecasting.
  • Be responsible for creating, managing, and updating large sets of data to provide real-time insight in relevant cohort/student group size to include, but limited to newly admitted candidates, clinical eligibility, graduation eligibility, and certification recommendationsand other related GSE advising functions.
  • Perform cohort analysis to identify candidate registration targets, repeat a course requests, and other advising functions.
  • Assist in the analysis of large sets of data, for positive impact on efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist Senior Director in managing tasks related to advisement (e.g., intake of add/dropforms)
  • Ensure data integrity; reporting is accurately represented for enterprise use.
  • Strategic Plans: Assists the Senior Director to formulate and implement long range plans to improve advising functions, using reports and data-driven approach to identify patterns for improvement in advising practices.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 years of experience in an administrative position required.
  • Expereince managing and analyzing large database of information preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Is highly organized and demonstrates exceptional attention to accuracy.
  • Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity.
  • Detailed oriented, able to learn new software tools (e.g. Tableau, Banner).
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
