About the Team
The Operations team manages our worldwide distribution network and is responsible for authenticating our sneakers, fulfilling orders and ensuring on-time delivery to buyers. Through our technological innovation and logistical efficiency, you will join a team that prides itself on being the most trusted marketplace in the industry while shipping and processing tens of millions of products for our global buyers and sellers.
Role Overview
The Supervisor, Authentication is responsible for the management and day-to-day strategy of the Authentication team. You'll partner with Operations leadership to develop a plan for continued growth and development and ensure SLA compliance while upholding our quality and safety standards.
In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operations, quality control & supervision of the Authentication team, including actively communicating in the Slack channels, informal daily check in's, coaching on performance and assisting with scheduling needs of the Authentication team, as needed
  • Execute and track operational goals and is responsible for troubleshooting performance issues related to Cost Per Order (CPO)
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous learning by upholding GOAT's quality and safety standards and ensuring SLA compliance
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day people management and development of the Authentication team, including coaching employees to meet operational goals, performance management and training.
  • Work cross-functionally to drive Quality Control expectations within Authentication
  • Support tracking and troubleshooting order issues, e.g. misverification reports, and audits to support the team. Act as the last line of defense for any order issues
  • Work in a dynamic warehouse environment with heavy equipment

We are looking for:
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience with a background in product authentication
  • Knowledge of and passion for sneakers and apparel, including familiarity with industry trends and resources
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A quick learner and self-starter, capable of working independently and handling increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey their views to others
  • Ability to lift and move boxes (up to 35 pounds)
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays, during peak times to meet business needs
