Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Worldwide Distribution is a leadership role responsible for the strategy, direction, and execution of Market America, Inc.'s global distribution network. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of Market America's diverse range of products to its distributors and customers.
The Senior Manager will have direct accountability for managing all third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships and international logistics operations, including the leadership and performance of all global distribution and logistics teams. This includes responsibility for optimizing international freight, cross-border compliance, and overseeing partners who facilitate fulfillment and shipping worldwide.
A key component of this role is overseeing distribution operations that integrate with e-commerce and marketplace platforms, including Shopify, Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant), and other marketplaces, ensuring smooth order fulfillment and scalability in an evolving retail landscape. The Senior Manager is deeply involved in the day-to-day execution of all operations-driving continuous improvement, scalability, and innovation across the global supply chain.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership & Planning
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive global distribution strategy that aligns with Market America's business goals, revenue targets, and commitment to our distribution network.
  • Global Network Management
    • Oversee the operations of Market America's worldwide distribution centers and all third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, with direct responsibility for evaluating, selecting, and managing domestic and international 3PL providers to ensure optimal service levels, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
    • Ensure the robustness of global inbound and outbound logistics with a particular focus on cross-border, international shipping, and customs requirements Direct fulfillment strategies and integration with Shopify, Amazon FBA, FBM, and marketplace platforms to support omnichannel growth.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the complete international distribution and logistics organization, including internal teams and external partners, with accountability for international logistics coordinators, distribution center managers, and all global logistics staff
    • Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, planning, IT, and sales teams to ensure seamless end-to-end product flow from production facilities to the final customer.
    • Work closely with e-commerce teams to align marketplace logistics strategies with business objectives.
  • Process Optimization
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce transit times, and improve service levels.
    • Use data and advanced analytics to identify opportunities and implement best practices across physical and digital distribution channels.
  • Technology & Systems
    • Leverage supply chain technologies, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and marketplace integrations to support efficiency and scalability.
  • Vendor & Partner Management
    • Build, manage, and be accountable for relationships with international and domestic freight carriers, customs brokers, and all logistics service providers, including 3PL partners. Ensure all 3PL and international logistics partners consistently meet company standards for performance, compliance, and financial objectives.
    • Negotiate contracts to ensure service excellence and competitive pricing.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management
    • Develop and manage the global distribution budget, ensuring financial accountability while meeting service-level commitments.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, customs laws, and transportation standards.
    • Identify, mitigate, and respond to risks related to geopolitical events, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and supports a diverse international workforce, including all internal distribution and logistics teams as well as external 3PL and logistics providers
  • Sets goals and performance expectations for the team
  • Addresses employee or customer concerns and/or elevates to the Management team
  • Trains and assists employees
  • Manages employees work loads and schedules
  • Works within budgetary controls
  • Supports the Company's Safety Programs
  • Acts as an ambassador and champion of the company culture, ethics, and values

Education & Experience:
  • 10+ years of management experience in high-volume, multi-site distribution and logistics within a multinational environment.
  • Extensive experience managing international logistics networks, including cross-border trade, customs, global freight forwarding, and the implementation of 3PL partnerships and operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Shopify, Amazon FBA, FBM, and marketplace fulfillment models
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience required or equivalent
