In this role, you'll lead a gameplay engineering team focused on delivering cutting‑edge systems in animation, locomotion, and camera. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, animators, and QA to ensure top‑quality gameplay experiences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the next chapter of one of the most beloved RPG series in the world. We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a deep passion for games.

(This position requires working in our Warsaw Hub. Hybrid working mode available)

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Support, maintain, and extend gameplay and engine systems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain core gameplay features, including systems such as locomotion, animation, and camera.
  • Develop tools and debugging utilities that support gameplay development.
  • Collaborate with game designers and cross‑functional teams to design and deliver engaging gameplay mechanics.
  • Write, improve, and maintain automated and gameplay‑focused tests.
  • Debug, profile, optimize, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with QA and other disciplines.
  • Work closely with designers, animators, QA, production, and other teams to deliver cohesive gameplay experiences.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
  • Support and mentor other engineers by sharing knowledge, providing feedback, and fostering technical growth.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and engineering team to help define technical priorities and support project goals.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Unreal Engine, ideally on AA or AAA projects.
  • Direct experience working on gameplay topics such as locomotion, combat, and camera systems.
  • Proven experience leading a development team of around 7 members or similar scale.
  • Credited on at least one shipped AA or AAA title in a lead or management role.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
  • Solid understanding of gameplay systems (e.g. motion matching, animation systems).
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Experience in risk management and team development.
  • Strong working proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Values open, constructive feedback and respectful dialogue.
  • Brings their own perspective while remaining collaborative.
  • Comfortable navigating challenges and problem‑solving as a team.
