Job description

Job Duties:

This position is designated as a hybrid work schedule and requires local in-office / on-site hours based on client activities

  • Manage a portfolio of medium to large-sized projects and works with business areas to prioritize work requests, using standard project methodology.
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to document existing processes, research best practices and propose future processes in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with key technical stakeholders and vendors.
  • Defines business requirements based on business needs and gaps collaboratively with the SME. Applies project methodology to include planning, organizing, monitoring, managing budget, project closure activities and enforcing best practices.
  • Creates deliverables such as business process flows, business requirements, test plans, test scripts and project plans. Works with stakeholders to manage deliverables and project timeline. Provides status reporting to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Assist in defining business metrics to manage and improve processes.
  • Facilitate weekly, bi-weekly project meetings and provide comprehensive notes and action items.
  • Negotiate conflicts and resolve issues as they arise during process. Identify and manage project issues and track resolution.
  • Analyze and prioritize risk and assess potential project impact. Develop and maintain risk plans, processes and systems to mitigate risk.
  • Responsible for project communications to leadership, the stakeholder community, and project team.
  • Provide work directions to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts.
  • Identify ways to resolve scope, schedule, budget, and quality issues. Conducts in-depth root cause analyses and participate in Change Management deliverables.
  • Conduct formal sessions with project teams to capture and analyze lessons learned from related projects to identify opportunities for improvement/reuse.
  • Support and enforce standards and methodologies around business process development, project management and change management.
  • Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge, and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.

Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering Business Administration with an emphasis in logistics/project management and four (4) years of progressive professional experience in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities, and associated with such positions as project manager; or any equivalent combination of experience, education (above the high school level) and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to eight (8) years.
