Position Description:

Software Engineer for Premier Bankcard LLC, Sioux Falls, SD.

Works from systems designs and specifications and uses standard procedures and techniques to maintain, modify, and devise new or existing applications programs varying from basic to high complexity and scope. Prepares flow charts, writes machine instructions and procedures, debugs, and documents programs.This may include but is not limited to designing, writing, testing & implementing software. This software may be internally built or externally purchased.


Duties include:

  • Under immediate supervision, completes Internal Projects as assigned by Software Development management.
  • Typical scope of the assignment is usually related to very basic enhancements or functionality of few PREMIER internal pre-established programs or application screens.
  • Test functionality including necessary documentation for review by Sr Engineer or supervisor.
  • Documents changes to existing classes and programs for review by Sr Engineer or supervisor.
  • Accurately complete reports consisting of work time spent on projects within the department's standard timeline.
  • Ability to follow a stringent Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Must be able to efficiently self-manage time by organizing and prioritizing tasks to maximize productive results, and allow for flexibility, where necessary, to serve a change in priorities or an additional challenge.
  • Must be able to communicate thoughts, observations, participate, and present information to Sr Engineer or supervisor.
  • May provide customer support for on-call help desk during certain periods during the day.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information systems, computer engineering or related field and 2 years of experience as a software developer or related occupation in software engineering or software development; or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineer or related field and 1 year of experience as a software developer or related occupation in software engineering or software development

In addition, must possess at least 1 year of experience with the following:

Working with full software development life cycle.

Mulesoft REST APIs

Anypoint Exchange

Anypoint Design Studio

Anypoint Runtime Manager

Integration with AWS

CloudHub

RabbitMQ or similar messaging technology like AWS SQS

Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDBMS tools
