Senior Manager, Budgeting and Forecasting

What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager, Budgeting and Forecasting, you will assist in the development, coordination, and execution of the bank's enterprise-wide budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. This includes supporting the annual budget cycle, monthly forecast updates, and long-range financial planning. You will collaborate with business unit finance to gather inputs, analyze performance trends, and deliver insights that support executive decision-making. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives, enhance planning tools and methodologies, and help drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and process efficiency. Success in this role requires strong financial modeling skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the bank's enterprise-wide budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Partner with business unit finance teams to consolidate inputs and validate assumptions for financial planning cycles.
  • Develop and refine financial models that support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and executive-level decision-making.
  • Monitor and interpret financial performance trends, identifying key drivers and providing insights to guide strategic actions.
  • Assist in preparing executive-level presentations that communicate budget and forecast outcomes, including variance analysis and strategic implications.
  • Support the integration of planning tools and systems to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline planning workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in financial narratives across internal and external reporting.
  • Contribute to initiatives focused on cost optimization, capital allocation, and investment prioritization.
  • Participate in the enhancement of data governance and standardization efforts across planning processes.
  • Provide responsive, ad-hoc financial analysis to support evolving business needs and strategic initiatives.

What you'll need:
  • 7+ years of related experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
  • Prior Banking experience required
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities including Pivot Tables, SUMPRODUCT, INDEX/MATCH, etc.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of financial planning and analysis concepts, financial reporting and disclosure concepts. Presentation of information and reports.
  • Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Chartered Financial Analysts preferred.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
