Summary

Coordinate high-impact aviation operations that keep our business moving. As a Flight Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the scheduling and dispatch of company-owned aircraft while ensuring seamless trip coordination, crew scheduling, flight-following, recordkeeping, and logistical support for internal customers. You will collaborate with flight crews and cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional service, optimize operational efficiency, and solve complex scheduling challenges in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who thrives under pressure, embraces continuous learning, and takes ownership of improving processes while upholding Perdue Farms' core values of Quality, Integrity, Teamwork, and Stewardship.

This position has a target wage of $26.00 - $39.25 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available. 
 
In addition to hourly wages, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.  

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, analyze, and plan trip requests, coordinating with pilots, maintenance, and internal customers to build efficient flight schedules.
  • Prepare flight itineraries, trip packets, and passenger manifests for all scheduled trips.
  • Coordinate crew scheduling to ensure compliance with company flight, duty, and rest-time regulations and identify and resolve scheduling conflicts as they arise.
  • Locate alternate aircraft or contract lift when scheduling conflicts or maintenance issues occur.
  • Monitor department aircraft while in flight, including availability during off-hours, weekends, and holidays to support schedule changes or irregular operations.
  • Maintain accurate flight records, including passenger manifests, hours flown, and business purpose, and prepare summary reports for the Federal Aviation Administration and company records.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration regulations, industry best practices, and department Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Arrange all trip logistics, including fixed-base operator services, fuel, ground transportation, and catering for crew and passengers.
  • Coordinate international trip requirements, including overflight and landing permits, visas, customs, and security, working with outside vendors as needed.
  • Support the Director of Aviation with vendor management, invoice reconciliation, and other budget-related administrative tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support to the aviation department as needed.
  • Lead by example with honesty, integrity, and strong ethical standards in everything you do.
  • Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing options when business needs change.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of scheduling, dispatch, or administrative support experience.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with executive-level passengers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support flight operations and last-minute trip requests.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in a corporate or business aviation environment.
  • Federal Aviation Administration Dispatcher certification or equivalent business aviation dispatch experience.
  • Familiarity with aviation scheduling software (e.g., BART, FOS, PFM, or similar).
  • Experience coordinating international trip logistics, including permits, visas, and customs requirements.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Lift and load travel bags onto aircraft.
  • Move equipment or supplies within the company hangar.
  • Access files, supplies, and equipment as needed.
