About the team + role
We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems. We're looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency, it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.
The Enterprise Risk Management team's mission is to help establish a strong risk management practice across a high-growth and evolving organization. The team partners closely with business leaders and risk teams to identify, assess, monitor, and address operational, strategic, and emerging risks across the company. Team members support enterprise-wide governance efforts and contribute to strengthening the organization's overall control environment. You'll join a team that values thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and practical risk management approaches that support business objectives!
As an Enterprise Risk Manager, you will help build, maintain, and mature Robinhood's enterprise-wide risk management program. You will support risk identification activities, evaluate risks associated with new products and business changes, and contribute to the ongoing development of risk frameworks and governance processes. The role requires close partnership with business teams and leadership to assess risk exposure, improve controls, and support informed decision-making. You'll also help establish and monitor risk appetite statements, risk tolerance thresholds, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) aligned to organizational priorities.
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.
What you'll do
  • You will support Risk and Controls Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk identification activities, and enterprise risk management initiatives across the organization.
  • You will evaluate operational, strategic, and emerging risks associated with new product launches, product features, organizational growth, and business changes.
  • You will help establish and maintain risk appetite statements, risk tolerance thresholds, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) aligned with business objectives.
  • You will contribute to the ongoing design, implementation, and improvement of enterprise risk management frameworks within Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems.
  • You will provide guidance to business teams on risk trends, control considerations, and mitigation strategies to support effective decision-making.
What you bring
  • You have 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management within regulated financial services environments such as banks, fintech companies, or broker-dealers.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, governance structures, and risk frameworks.
  • You have experience communicating risk and control requirements clearly to risk teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • You are highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented when assessing risks and evaluating control effectiveness.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex risk topics to executive audiences.
What we offer
  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Best-in-class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.
