Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by HealthFitness, is seeking a dynamic Event Manager to join our team in Bentonville, AR! In this role, you'll lead the planning and execution of a wide variety of events, collaborate with vendors and stakeholders, and create exceptional experiences for members and guests. We're looking for someone who is organized, friendly, adaptable, and brings a strong background in events and hospitality.

Responsible for directing all aspects of promoting, planning, staffing and executing Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness events, including internal and external functions, by leading collaboration with vendors/departments, managing budgets, and ensuring smooth execution to deliver successful and memorable experiences, while adhering to timelines and staying within financial constraints. Ensures world-class offerings, delivery and experiences within all client events. Leads alignment of whole health concepts into all events and team building activities within the WFWHF.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for driving a culture of customer service to drive a high engagement and satisfaction rate of those involved in activities within WFWHF. Serves as the 24/7 contact for the in-house team or outside vendors/client to manage all event activities and ensure its success. Remain on-site as a supervisor and expected to address client requests and repair issues that arise to ensure overall satisfaction. Ability to lead, inspire and motivate collections of department teams (Recreation, Member Services, Rest and Recharge, Aquatics and Fitness) aligned for multiple, daily customized event deliveries.
  • Directly manages event bookings (schedule, timing, payment, contracting, coordination/facilitation of events), operations, programming for WFWHF events, use of /indoor outdoor space in collaboration with WFWHF teams. Will be responsible for creating all marketing and promotional efforts within client environment, leading conversations with the client events team, assessing needs and expectations of client teams, designing tailored events, identifying and resolving gaps in services and expert application of client software.
  • Responsible for managing the special event programming such Walmart games, etc. including but not limited to the training and management of staff, vendors, and programs. Leading department or client/vendor liaisons on collaboration, implementation, and evaluation of such events. Generation of follow-up communications, creation of engagement and revenue dashboards and submission of monthly summary reports including satisfaction, NPS and general feedback.
  • Serves as a resource for all departments in generating revenue to meet budgeted goals. Assists with membership sales to generate leads, provide discover and tours and close sales to help site reach dues revenue goals.
  • Other duties as-needed or assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years related industry experience, including program management in a corporate setting or related environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute (required within first 30 days of hire).
  • Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of program development and implementation, data collection and analysis and outcomes reporting.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and innovations.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $54,000 - $64,000 per year. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
