Job description

Events Manager
Role Type: Full Time
Location: Kirkland, Hybrid, WA Only
Travel Requirement: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Reports to: Development Director
Atlas Free is on a mission to end sex trafficking and exploitation. Our work is urgent, strategic, and results-driven. Our events are a key part of that work. They are not just gatherings, but high-impact opportunities to engage supporters, drive revenue, and move the mission forward. They are elevated, well-executed, and reflect the strength of our mission and the caliber of our community.
We have exceptional supporters, and we host events that people want to be in the room for.
We are looking for an Events Manager who owns every detail and drives results. This is a role for someone who loves planning, thrives in logistics, and takes pride in executing standout experiences, whether it is an intimate strategy session or a 500+ person gala. For the right person, this job is a blast.
You will lead the full event lifecycle, from timelines and budgets to vendors, volunteers, materials, and on-site execution. You will also build systems that make excellence repeatable and ensure every event delivers meaningful impact.
What Success Looks Like
Running a smooth event is the baseline. Success is measured by impact, precision, and follow-through:
  • Events executed flawlessly at every scale, from intimate gatherings to 500+ attendee galas
  • Every detail owned and accounted for
  • Clear targets for attendance, engagement, and revenue that are met or exceeded
  • Strong follow-up that drives donor progression and long-term partnership
  • Systems and templates that make excellence repeatable
  • Events that serve as strategic moments to deepen engagement and advance the mission

This person who thrives in this role will bring precision, initiative, and relentless attention to detail. They don't just manage events, they own the outcome and drive measurable results.
The Work You'll Lead
You will own the full lifecycle of all Atlas Free events, from intimate strategy sessions or staff retreats to 500+ person galas.
  • Planning and execution: timelines, run-of-show, vendors, volunteers, materials, and on-site management
  • Vendor and venue management: research, negotiation, and relationship oversight
  • Budget and expense control: precise tracking, forecasting, and adherence
  • Technology and registration platforms: Classy Events, Classy Live, Greater Giving, and future tools
  • Team clarity and alignment: set expectations, define deadlines, and ensure excellence across internal teams and external partners
  • Supporter-led events: systematize operations, build templates, and provide guidance so others execute at Atlas Free standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Ownership is non-negotiable. You will deliver excellent execution and consistent results.
Donor Experience and Retention
You will design and execute communication plans for each event, including invitations, registration, reminders, impact messaging, and follow-up. You will partner with the Development Director to create personalized engagement strategies.
You will lead a thoughtful and consistent thank-you process that includes handwritten notes, emails, calls, and leadership outreach. No donor is missed. Follow-up is timely and personal.
You will also help identify opportunities for retention, upgrades, and deeper engagement, and manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and event partners.
Systems, Data, and Improvement
You will manage event systems and data in partnership with Marketing and the CRM Analyst. You will ensure donor data, registration records, seating assignments, and follow-up tracking are accurate and current
You will track and analyze:
  • Event performance
  • Donor engagement
  • Acknowledgment timeliness
  • Revenue and retention trends

You will lead reporting on event outcomes and stewardship metrics. You will strengthen systems and processes so that each event builds on the last. Efficiency will increase. Clarity will improve. The donor experience will elevate.
Who Thrives Here
You are highly organized and take ownership of results. You plan ahead, anticipate challenges, and care about details because they shape the donor experience. You stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and are motivated by impact.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of event management or production experience
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with event and fundraising platforms
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred
  • Alignment with and commitment to Atlas Free's faith-based mission and values

Compensation
Anticipated hiring range for this position is $67,000 - $73,000 per year. Final compensation will consider the candidate's skills, education, experience, credentials, and geographic location. Ranges are informed by industry benchmarks, labor market data, internal equity, and organizational budget.
Benefits
Atlas Free provides a robust core benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, HSA with employer contribution, 403b with employer match, generous paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave, along with creative, cutting-edge fringe benefits designed to delight and inspire our team.
About Atlas Free
Atlas Free is a nonprofit organization building a global movement to put sex trafficking and exploitation out of business. Working in over 65 countries with over 140 Network Members, we unite funders, adventurers, and everyday people with the best local initiatives in the world to maximize impact and dismantle human trafficking. We specialize in accelerating frontline solutions and creating resources and tools to address one of the current most pressing global issues. Our faith informs our belief that all people are created with equal dignity and value-that there is always hope and that good is far more powerful than evil. The heart of our work is centered around the millions of men, women, and children living in exploitation and vulnerability every day.
Mission Statement
To accelerate and resource the fight against sex trafficking and exploitation.
Core Values
  • Trustworthy
  • Integrity
  • Strategic
  • Servant Leadership
  • Jesus-centric
  • Focused on the Mission

Statement of Faith
The work we do is informed and motivated by a deep faith in Jesus and a commitment to His teachings.
This is how we know what love is: "Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:16-18
We believe that all people are created in the image of God with inherent value. They are worthy of love, and our best efforts to affirm that value. Our programs serve all people from all backgrounds without discrimination of any kind. "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
We advocate for the vulnerable and exploited because we believe there is hope for a restored life and a better future. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free" - Jesus, Luke 4:18
Statement of Practice:
As followers of Jesus, our desire is to obey his teachings in all areas of our lives. We understand that faith is deeply personal, and many of us may come from different Christian traditions, but we believe that we are part of "One Body" and united in our faith in Jesus. While some of our views and practices may vary, we share a commitment to Christian orthodoxy and scripture and a belief that spiritual community is an essential element of how we practice our faith. We share a commitment to "Love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and to love our neighbors like ourselves" (Matthew 22:23-40). As a diverse team from many countries, cultures, and Christian traditions, we focus on the elements and practices of our faith and orthodoxy that unite us and not divide us.
Please upload a cover letter, a copy of your resume, a list of three references, and your personal statement of faith (description of your Christian faith and how it applies to your work, spiritual disciplines, and the community of faith/worship in which you currently engage).
Atlas Free is an E-Verify employer. Your employment eligibility will be confirmed with E-Verify.
