Job Description

As an Engineering Technician I, you will perform general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair tasks that support the daily operations of the resort. Working under the direction of resort leadership, you'll assist with projects across multiple trade disciplines while helping ensure an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do as an Engineering Technician I:

Complete preventative maintenance, guest service requests, engineering projects, and resort improvement tasks as assigned.
Perform general maintenance, including painting, caulking, drywall, and minor wall repairs.
Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, and fixture repairs.
Install, replace, and troubleshoot televisions, remote controls, and other electronic equipment.
Assist with inventory management and ensure tools and materials are available for assigned work.
Utilize maintenance management software (HotSOS and other applicable systems) to complete work orders.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other maintenance equipment.
Identify and report safety hazards while following all company safety procedures.
Communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership to resolve maintenance concerns.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional guest service.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring as an Engineering Technician I:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Zero (0) to one (1) year of maintenance, skilled trades, or facilities experience in a resort, hospitality, or commercial environment preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn maintenance management software.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license required.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, and lifts while using appropriate PPE.
Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and move 50 pounds or more.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Must uphold Westgate Resorts' standards of professionalism, integrity, safety, and guest service.
