Job Summary:

Oversees the management, security, and optimization of our organization's endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other endpoints. Ensures the stability, performance, and security of the organization's IT Infrastructure. Maintains the organization's cybersecurity posture, optimizes endpoint performance, and ensures a seamless user experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Endpoint Management
    • Develops and implements endpoint management strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Manages and maintains endpoint management systems and tools (e.g., Mobile Device Management, Desktop Management, Patch Management).
    • Ensures all endpoint devices are properly configured, updated, and compliant with security standards.
  • Security
    • Monitors and enforces security protocols for endpoints to safeguard against cyber threats.
    • Responds to security incidents involving endpoints and coordinates necessary actions.
    • Implements endpoint encryption, antivirus, and anti-malware solutions.
  • Endpoint Optimization
    • Optimizes endpoint performance and user experience.
    • Troubleshoots and resolves endpoint-related issues promptly.
    • Collaborates with IT teams to identify and implement performance improvements.
  • Patch Management
    • Develops and executes patch management strategies to keep endpoints up to date.
    • Test patches and updates in a controlled environment before deploying them organization-wide.
    • Ensures minimal disruption during patch deployments.
  • Device Inventory and Asset Management
    • Maintains an accurate inventory of all endpoint devices.
    • Manages hardware and software assets, including licensing compliance.
    • Plans and executes hardware refresh cycles as needed.
  • User Support and Training
    • Provides technical support to end-users for endpoint-related issues.
    • Manages team supporting endpoint Incidents.
  • Vendor Management
    • Collaborates with vendors and service providers for endpoint-related solutions and services.
    • Evaluates and selects appropriate endpoint management tools and technologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools and software (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, MobileIron, Ivanti).
  • Knowledge of industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security principles and best practices.
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Strong ability to reason, form concepts, problem solving, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with leadership, partners and vendors.
  • Advanced knowledge of various endpoint technologies including desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and any other endpoint form factors
  • Advanced knowledge of endpoint Operating Systems including Windows, iOS and Android.
  • Advanced knowledge of SaaS applications and endpoint deployments and associated configurations.
  • Advanced knowledge of browser technologies, endpoint deployments and associated configurations
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as required for business needs.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; seven to ten years of enterprise endpoint technology experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Proven experience in endpoint management, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and associated technologies.
  • Ten years of progressing experience in technology, technology support and optimization and seven years in management of technologies.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA Security+, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
  • Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects (endpoint IT equipment) up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.
  • Occasionally required to stand or walk.
