Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Development Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable data and application solutions across cloud and on-prem platforms. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, driving high-quality engineering practices and ensuring reliable delivery of data pipelines, integrations, and workflows.
The ideal candidate has deep experience across Oracle, Linux/Unix environments, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and modern data engineering frameworks (DataBricks, ETL orchestration).
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and data engineers delivering enterprise-scale data solutions
  • Provide hands-on guidance across architecture, design, development, and troubleshooting
  • Drive best practices in coding standards, performance optimization, and system reliability
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce quality and security standards

Data Engineering & Platform Development
  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or equivalent
  • Develop and optimize solutions leveraging Oracle databases (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Build data workflows integrating multiple data sources (APIs, files, cloud storage, relational systems)
  • Ensure efficient data processing, transformation, and orchestration workflows

Cloud & Infrastructure
  • Architect and deploy solutions in Azure and AWS environments
  • Manage hybrid data environments spanning on-prem Oracle and cloud-based platforms
  • Implement scalable, secure, and high-availability data solutions

Automation & Scripting
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell scripting, and Linux-based tools
  • Optimize batch processing, job scheduling, and workflow execution
  • Ensure reliable job orchestration and monitoring

Delivery & Collaboration
  • Partner with Product, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation
  • Ensure alignment with SDLC processes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software development or data engineering
  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams
  • Strong hands-on expertise with:
    • Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL, database design)
    • Linux/Unix environments
    • Python programming
    • Shell scripting (Bash, Korn, etc.)
  • Proven experience with:
    • ETL/ELT development and data workflows
    • DataBricks or equivalent distributed data processing platforms
    • Azure (ADF, Synapse) and AWS (Glue, S3, EC2)
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and orchestration frameworks
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
  • Ability to lead technical solution design and architecture discussions

  • Experience with large-scale marketing, CRM, or analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks

Compensation Range: USD $88,540.00 - USD $127,155.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
