Job description

Sho Pizza Bar — General Manager Nashville, TN | Full-time / Part-time

About Sho Pizza Bar

Sho Pizza Bar is a Michelin-recognized, Neo-Neapolitan Pizzeria located in the heart of East Nashville, TN. We are committed to excellence in every aspect of the guest experience — from our thoughtfully crafted pizza program to our bar and hospitality standards. Our team is driven, passionate, and proud to represent one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the country.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead all operations at our 2nd location on the west side for Sho Pizza Bar and uphold the standard of excellence that has earned us national recognition. This is a leadership role for a seasoned hospitality professional who understands what it takes to run a high-volume, Michelin-recognized restaurant at the highest level. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a people-first leader, and someone who is deeply passionate about food, beverage, and guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations including front-of-house, back-of-house, and bar
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across all departments
  • Drive revenue, manage labor and COGS, and deliver on financial targets and KPIs
  • Maintain and elevate Sho's service standards, hospitality culture, and brand reputation
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top-tier talent at all levels of the organization
  • Develop and implement training programs to support team growth and consistency
  • Manage vendor relationships, ordering, and inventory across FOH and BOH
  • Partner with ownership on strategic planning, concept development, and business growth
  • Ensure full compliance with Tennessee health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for guest experience and team relations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of general management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Proven track record of leading teams, driving revenue, and managing P&L
  • Deep knowledge of both front-of-house operations and beverage programming
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with modern POS, scheduling, and inventory management systems
  • Valid food handler and alcohol service certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

  • Prior leadership experience in a Michelin-recognized or nationally acclaimed restaurant
  • Experience opening or scaling a high-profile restaurant concept
  • Strong wine, spirits, and beverage program knowledge
  • Familiarity with Italian cuisine and Neapolitan pizza culture

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus structure
  • The opportunity to lead one of Nashville's most acclaimed dining destinations
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision
  • Paid time off and flexible scheduling
  • A collaborative partnership with ownership and a clear path for continued growth
