Job description

Job Summary:
Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties. The Assistant Director, Decision Support & Reimbursement shall be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and overseeing the Decision Support team, while analyzing financial and operational data to support decision-making and strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and procedures for the Decision Support and Reimbursement department.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, support decision-making, and strategy.
• Oversee and manage staff and daily operations of the Decision Support team.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, IT, and other departments to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Personal organizational skills.
• Ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints with the ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to exercise independent thought and judgement.
• Possess strong analytical skills.
• Significant experience in reimbursement, revenue cycle, and financial analysis, with a strong emphasis on healthcare.
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration preferred.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certifications preferred.
• Governmental Payer Regulatory Billing Requirements Preferred.
