What's in it for you:
As the Engineering Manager, Data Center New Product Development, you will lead the engineering team responsible for concept development, design, design verification, and product line enhancement for Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) and Computer Room Air Handler (VCDC) products. This role is responsible for leading new product development activities, supporting larger product enhancement projects for the order processing pods, and driving innovation, product performance, manufacturability, and year-over-year margin improvement across the data center product portfolio.
This position provides the opportunity to guide the technical direction of the TCDC and VCDC product lines, work closely with cross-functional teams, and lead engineering efforts from early concept development through product validation and implementation. You will play a key role in evaluating new and unique design solutions, supporting qualification activities, incorporating field and manufacturing feedback into product improvements, and ensuring new products and major enhancements are aligned with customer needs and business objectives."
What you will do:
  • Lead all aspects of new product development engineering for Airside Data Center TCDC and VCDC products.
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers supporting new product development activities, providing clear direction, priority setting, coaching, and day-to-day leadership.
  • Manage team performance and engagement through regular feedback, goal setting, development planning, and ongoing communication.
  • Support talent development through coaching, mentoring, training, and succession planning to build individual capability and overall team effectiveness.
  • Partner with Human Resources and functional leadership on hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and other people-related matters.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment that promotes engagement, inclusion, continuous improvement, and strong business results.
  • Align team resources and individual assignments to meet business priorities while supporting employee growth and development.
  • Lead concept development, design, and design verification activities for new products and major product enhancements.
  • Support larger engineering projects that improve the capability, performance, manufacturability, and competitiveness of the TCDC and VCDC platforms.
  • Drive new and unique design improvements that enhance product performance, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for year-over-year margin improvement.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop accurate drawings, models, documentation, and product configurations in support of development programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, manufacturing, product management, and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support business objectives.
  • Lead engineering changes for new and existing products, including documentation updates, design reviews, and design standardization efforts.
  • Support problem solving and root cause analysis for design, quality, and reliability issues.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed with quality, accuracy, and urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Incorporate manufacturing, production, and field feedback into future product designs and product line improvement initiatives.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in design engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including experience leading a team of engineers, is preferred but not required.
  • Key Skills or Competencies:
  • Strong technical expertise in product design engineering, product development, and product support.
  • Experience leading engineering activities for new product development and product enhancement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, product documentation, bills of material, and CAD/model-based design processes.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional efforts and influence outcomes across engineering, design, operations, manufacturing, and product management teams.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify practical solutions quickly.
  • Experience supporting product validation, qualification, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive progress across several concurrent assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to guide teams, support change, and drive results.
  • Experience in HVAC, air handling equipment, data center cooling products, or related engineered product environments preferred.
